Summer is almost over... WHAT?

I can't believe that summer is almost over and that my little man is now going to be a BIG kindergarten man. I vow to make sure that Hayden has the time of his life this last week of summer!! SO, we decided to spend the day at Boondocks yesterday. He totally rocked me at Rollerball and won a bunch of prizes with all the tickets he won in the game section. Today he ditched me to go and spend the day with his buddy at Pineview. I wonder what tomorrow holds in store for us??? Lagoon, maybe??? We will see! :)

He totally beat me fair and square at Rollerball... way to go buddy!

One more...

Apparently Hayden enjoys planning parties. We've now had two parties of his this week and he has organized both of them!

Before Kyle and I were headed out on Friday night, Hayden decided to pull out all of my Halloween decorations and to have a Halloween party. He invited his friends over to come Trick or Treating. They all wore their costumes and Trick or Treated in our pantry and refrigerator. They were so cute!

We love our buddies!

Another special party...

Hayden has been planning a "Restaurant Party" for his friends this whole week. He spent the afternoon with Papa on Monday and when I got back, they had a menu in mind and had already put a salad together for "Hayden's Restaurant Party" from Papa's vegetable garden. Hayden also informed me that the party was going to be held on Wednesday.... at our house... with all of his friends... OH BOY!

Grandma came over on Tuesday. She spent most of the day helping Hayden decorate for his party. They covered the doors with signs and named the party, "Hayden's Flying School". Here are some of his decorations!

These decorations and many more were hung up around the house... so cute!

Today was the menu planning day and the BIG party day. Amazingly, I was able to talk Hayden out of making Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Salads for all of his guests (his menu plan) and talked him into a cupcake decorating party instead. Like I said, he'd been planning this party for the past three days and it had become a HUGE deal! So we headed to Target and got everything that we needed. While there, Hayden decided that it was, in fact, going to now be called "Jingles' Birthday Celebration" (Jingles is his stuffed dog)! When we got home, we were going to make invitations and invite all of his friends over. Luckily, we had Brin over for an impromptu play date and it turned out that Hayden just needed one special buddy for the celebration... lucky me!!!

My cupcake helping buddies!

Singing Happy Birthday to Jingles and decorating our spider and and ghost cupcakes.

Hayden was very happy with his party and told me (as I was putting him down tonight) that tomorrow is the family birthday party... ah oh, here we go...

A great vacation...

Last night we got back from Sun Valley, Idaho. We spent the last four days with my parents, my sister Ashlin and Alex (Ashlin's boyfriend). We had a great time and we're all EXHAUSTED after our days were so packed full of fun! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the trip!

Starting our trip off with yummy lunch and time with Nana and Papa!

Kyle took me out on the driving range for the first time. I kind of like this golf thing!

Hayden got his very first fishing pole and tackle box and LOVED fishing on the pond with daddy.

Daddy went fly fishing with Papa and Alex and had a great time!

While the boys were fishing, us girls hit the shops in town and had a yummy lunch at the Kneadery with Hayden! The restaurant had this fun tractor that Hayden adored. We all had a great Saturday. :)

We had a blast on the paddle boats!

Hayden met an adorable new friend named Trooper and spent at least an hour playing in the pond and throwing him a ball!

Yummy dinner at our condo with everyone!

Enjoying the Ice Show at the Sun Valley Resort!

Tandem bike riding through town!

We had such a fun bike ride!

Enjoying the beautiful scenery one more time before we headed home!

We had a wonderful vacation with our family... filled with all sorts of activities and games. It was nice to get up in the beautiful mountains and enjoy our time doing the things that we love to do! I hope everyone had a great week.

A busy and fun week...

Last week was a very fun and crazy-busy week! There hasn't been much down time for us this summer, but we have had a great time with friends and family. It's been a week of play dates galore, family nights, girls camp, family reunions, swimming lessons, auditions, back to school shopping and another upcoming vacation... we are sure enjoying our summer!!

Picking apples in the back yard with buddies!

Frozen yogurt time with daddy... YUMMY shredded coconut!

Playing dress up is usually a daily occurrence. We're already talking about our Halloween costumes for this year!

Cooling off in the splash pad at Lagoon before a fun day of rides!

Loving the bumper cars...

The sweetest face I've ever seen... I love this boy more than anything! Enjoying the Tidal Wave- it's one of our favorites!

Rattle Snake Rapids is another favorite of ours!

Cooling off in the pond during a great game of miniature golf. What a cutie!

Kyle was trying to distract me by taking this photo, but I sure did hit my ball right into the castle!  Hayden had a hard time with the ladies first rule, but eventually got over it. :)

Ready for our walk... we love our Kubla!  He loves chasing Hayden on his bike during our "walks". Hayden just likes being able to ride ahead of us because we don't walk fast enough to keep up with him. Just you wait, little man... it's so ON!!

We are loving this summer. We are sad to see it coming to an end, but we are looking forward to SCHOOL!! We hope you're enjoying your summer as well!

Country Fair Days...

We enjoyed Country Fair Days last week. Hayden ran in the Kids K Fun Run earlier in the week and we enjoyed the parade and fair after Kyle and I ran in the 5K that weekend. Fireworks from our backyard was the icing on top. Here's some pics of our fun Saturday!

Fun parade with friends!

Proud to be an American... Hayden thought that the soldiers who were carrying the flag were "so awesome"!

Hayden loved all of the trucks that were in the parade. The tractor was "COOL"!

Enjoying all of the candy they collected... so cute!

Loving the rock wall at the fair!

Making funny faces while we were waiting for fireworks to finish off our fun Country Fair Days with friends!

We had such a fun week with all of our friends and neighbors. We love our community and feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people!

Enjoying a fun run...

Hayden competed in our city's Kids K Fun Run this last week. Last year he won 3rd place in his category. This year he didn't place, but he loved competing and hanging out with all of his friends and the different kids in the competition. He ran with daddy this year and it was SO HOT!! Here are some of the pics that I snapped of the two of them. Hayden ADORES his daddy!

Running with the masses!

My two favorite guys in the whole world still smiling at the end of the race!

Waiting for his prize and to hear who the winners were. I love these pics of these two!

Hayden won some gummy bears...YAY!

We are so proud of all that you do Hayden. You couldn't make us happier to be your parents if you tried. We are blessed.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Last Saturday we were super excited to celebrate Grandma's birthday. She wanted to do a "Carnival Birthday" to bring in the big 60 and so that the kids could have a blast. They sure did have a blast... we all did!

Heading down the slide

She made it! Nobody could be cuter than this! I hope I can look like this and have this much energy when I turn 60.

The kids enjoying Grandma's bouncy house pool!

Water fights galore... Hayden has a knack for squirting people right in the face, HA!

What a fun day of swimming!

Hayden was a little bit sick and so we had to have him get out for the rest of the time, but he loved watching everyone play.

There were some pretty epic water fights by the end of the night... even my camera got included in the fun! HA!

The carnival was a blast. Grandma had a popcorn, hot dog, snow cone and cotton candy machine for the kids. It was hard to get them to leave that night!!

Joking around with Grandpa!

When we party, we PARTY... including Kubla!

Watching the video that Stef put together with all of our old pictures of Grandma and the family. It was so awesome.

Kyle's whole family from left to right (minus his brother Preston). Kyle, Brooke, Grandma, Grandpa, Stefanie and Amanda.

The traditional family birthday picture in the kitchen.  Kubla happily stood in for Hayden. We couldn't get the kids away from all of the carnival fun! The group from left to right, Matt, Amanda, Kubla, Adrienne, Kyle, Bessa (Kyle's Grandma), Grandma, Grandpa, Brooke, Stefanie and Corbin.

And a carnival is not a carnival without a ball pit. Hayden adores his Grandma!!

Happy birthday Grandma! We love you so much and we are so grateful for all that you do for our family!

KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
