For Good is a song that means the world to me when I hear it. It is from the musical Wicked. It touches me deeply every time I hear it, because the lyrics speak about the amazing change that happens when special people come into your life and what a deep impact they can have on it.
My absolute favorite lyric from this song is when it says "you'll be with me, like a hand print on my heart and now whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend... because I knew you, I have been changed for good".
Well, Kyle and I have been changed for good. We are so excited to announce that we will be adopting a sweet little baby boy soon!! We are beyond happy that Madison has chosen us to be his parents, and because of her, we will have our miracle in just a few short weeks!
Madison has made that hand print on our hearts, forever! We just got back from California this past weekend, where we got to spend the entire time with Madison and her amazing family. Kyle, Hayden and I enjoyed every single minute of it! We have had the opportunity to email, text and talk to Madison on the phone for a few months now. This was our second visit to see her and we have absolutely fallen in love with this strong, beautiful, amazing girl who has selflessly included us into her and her son's life- and by doing that, she has given every single one of us more... more love to share. We look forward to seeing Madison and our new little miracle very, very soon. We are counting down the days!!
Often times, the song For Good is used as or considered a goodbye song. But in our relationship with Madison, there will never be a goodbye- we are just barely at the beginning of our journey together.
