Hayden's 5!!!

We can't believe that Hayden's 5 years old!! We have had a wonderful weekend celebrating Hayden's birthday! He had a fabulous "Pirate Birthday Party" with his friends on Saturday and then a fun "Family Party" on Sunday. 

Hayden loved helping me plan for his pirate party and helped set up for most of it. He was so excited to spend the day with his friends and couldn't wait for his guests to arrive. What a big boy!

Our favorite pirate boy!  He pulled out his pirate hat that morning and decided to wear it for most of his party. Happy 5th birthday buddy!

We have a very special boy and we always feel so blessed to be his mommy and daddy. Here's to a wonderful year 5 with our favorite little man!!

A wonderful trip!

Kyle and I just got back from a surprise trip to Ko Olina, Hawaii!  We had such a great time and we got some much needed R & R. We had a blast with Brooke (Kyle's sister) and Brooke's friend Rashni. Here are some of our favorite experiences and pics from our trip!!

We hiked up to the top of Diamond Head and loved the beautiful ocean views, especially this view of Waikiki!

Enjoying the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Waiting to walk into the P.C.C.'s new show "Ha, Breath of Life". It was absolutely amazing... go see it if you get a chance! 

Hayden stayed with both his Grandma and his Nana and Papa. He stayed busy the entire time with all sorts of fun activities like fishing, The Dinosaur Museum, play dates with cousins, soccer and much, much more. But he was so happy when we got home and we were so happy to see him... we missed him so, so much!

The sunsets were amazing!

We went snorkeling in Hanauma Bay.

 We swam with Mr. Turtle for about 20 minutes! It was such a beautiful experience.

We had a wonderful trip. We are glad to be home with Hayden and planning his birthday party is now on the top of everyone's list- especially Hayden's- Jack Sparrow and pirate celebrations... here we come!!

Spring Break!

We have had a wonderful Spring Break. We have been playing a lot.  We spent one day shopping at City Creek with Nana and did a little bit of gardening with Papa earlier this week.  I think that I'm going to need a vacation from my Spring Break Stay-Cation!

Easter

We had a great Easter. The Easter bunny came and created a special trail to find Hayden's Easter basket. We decorated our eggs and then we celebrated in church.  Finally, we spent the rest of the day with family. What a wonderful day we all had!

 The Easter Bunny tricked Hayden and left a basket for mommy and daddy inside on the counter. He left a note by it, for Hayden, that said "Happy Easter Hayden. Follow the robots, one by one. They will lead you to lots of fun!" The robot trail lead to a secret location outside where Hayden's Easter basket was hiding!

 Nana hid Easter baskets for all of us. An Easter tradition in my family that will probably last forever!

The only pic I was able to snap of the cousins on Easter. They were all off playing the whole night!  Too busy having fun to stop for pictures!!

Easter Egg hunt in Grandma and Grandpa's back yard... fun times!  The cousins spent most of the evening outside playing together.

Happy Birthday Dad!  We celebrated Easter AND Steve's birthday. What a celebration it was!!  We always have a party with our families. It doesn't matter why we're getting together, it's always a good time! All of the kids were too busy playing outside all night to come in and eat cake and ice-cream with Grandpa. This is our birthday picture tradition with Kyle's family. Happy birthday dad!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. It was such a wonderful and special day. I love every single family member of mine and I feel grateful to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. What a fantabulous day!!
